Great photo, Please explain what you are doing the big fire for? I have grown up on a farm, albeit a small one in comparison, so not a total amateur in things related to farming, fields etc.
Is it to get rid of roots, wood and unwanted pests or just for display and because you like it. I know ash is a good fertiliser.
We burn off fields to bash back the thick grasses and allow the native grasses to be stimulated. These grow in clumps and allow baby quail and baby turkeys to survive more easily while living in the shelter of the grass. They can move around easier. We also burn the forests sometimes to stimulate all the wild flowers. The prairie fires do what the bison used to do in the old times…..

Why are you making this fire? Having grown up on a farm, I have some knowledge of reasons why fields get burned off.
