Exploring Glastonbury before the crowds arrive.

My day started pretty normally with coffee in the front garden. When I received a phone call at 1.30pm asking if I could be at Glastonbury by 10pm everything changed!
I cleared my kitchen in record time in preparation for the builders arriving on Tuesday, packed my van and off I went. Arrived at the blue gate by 8pm to pick up my crew pass and some gold drapes for the circus area. My first ever Glastonbury 💕💥

Coffee by their river, morning walk round the area and home with a posy full of wild flowers 🥰

And so it begins. It took some time, research and consideration to get to this stage.

Surveying for a community festival across Dartmoor

Searching for tiles. Walking new paths. Out for the first time in a long time.

Walking the other side of town

Fair Time, Central Park, Plymouth

Rearranging with a new to me sofa and my bureau.

Weird bubbles and pool time.

London town. Dinner at Louise and John’s.

We changed buses at Yellapur and decided to stay as it looked so lovely. Then went wandering and was invited, by an old man we met by a paddy field, to visit his house. Meandering through his little cow shed, under the shade of his nut grove, over little stone bridges and beside banana trees….it was a lovely encounter.

A horrendous day. Terrible wet conditions. Drivers going too fast in bad visibility and an inevitable accident. A lorry tipping over and squashing a car. Sad and frightening. Instead of making it to Reading I detoured and ended up in a hotel near Appleby Magna, north of Birmingham when I couldn’t handle the rain, lorries and awful traffic anymore.

Eating well and broken glasses

Went to walk work, agency had it wrong and wasn’t needed. Got van fixed finally…my tyre was a freak and had a step in it. Not balancing and problem solved. Then managed to get my Indian visa application completed. A stressful day….

A no gas morning. Local shop characters. A fun time in Honeychurch, Dartmoor

Such a fun morning, Shambala
