The first rain of the week while cosy in my van. Perfect timing. Packed up. Gave a guy a lift back to Ashburton. Went and picked up Otto from Sarah’s. He’d had the best time 🥰 *****
Yeah finally real holiday. Back at our summerhouse in Udsholt and the first real swim in the ocean this year. Udsholt Strand
Danced all day to music on the main stage or Craig’s big wooden speaker stage which played bangin tunes in between. So much fun. So much dancing.*****
A very chilled and quiet day at home and then an invitation for dinner in Charlottenlund at Tage’s. Great food as always (kalvefrikassé with fresh summerpeas and summer carrots) and great company full of laughs.
A full on sunshine day with lots of different friends, swimming, partying and dancing. This is Hannah summing it up 🥰 *****
Leaving Jutland behind and heading back to civilisation (Copenhagen;) Though leaving behind a feeling of sadness and relief but also sunshine, heading towards dark clouds and heavy rain but cheerful company. Back in Copenhagen I met up with 2 friends from High School and we had a really great and fun night, not only reminiscing about the past but also talking up the present and dreams and hope for the future.
The only photograph I took today. The crew camping is filling up. I went swimming to cool me down for the rest of the day. And the festival begins…so much good music. Friends arriving. Laughter, joy, dancing, playtime. *****
Last time driving down the familiar gravel road to Peters parents home in Peter’s dad’s pick up truck. A good day but also full of melancholy and wistfulness.
Helped make a landscape in a flower bed for clay objects to be placed during the festival. A pleasure of a job. Afterwards found a mermaid’s pool which girls I’d hung out with last night told me about. I had it to myself as the tide was coming in when it is filled again. Swam afterwards in the sea. Happy days.*****
The local car inspection garage with a Kensington clock.
My back is better! Helped dress the Movements Area at Tropical Pressure music festival. Hung origami cranes which was so simple yet added so much. A lovely team. A swim after work which was a game changer in the heat.*****
Second day back in Hjerk, Jutland, cleaning and tidying up in Peters old childhood home. A feeling of ‘vemod’ ( something like wistfulness).
Massage for a random sore back…dropped Otto off at his retreat on Dartmoor at Sarah’s, then drove to Tropical Pressure near Porthtowan. Incredible views of the coast. Happy to set up.*****
Managing to get this old masay Ferguson up and running. Hjerk Kirkevej Jylland.
A sore back for no apparent reason. Otto has a swollen part of his mouth edge that doesn’t look good. Swam for an hour at my new favourite place to try and sort my back out. Decided it wise to take Otto to the vet. A mellow evening for us *****
Doing a monthly fun run; christianshavner milen (7,532 km) with my now friend/ former colleague. The run is every First Monday of the month from april till october. Had our worst time on this monday, but managed to take a running photo of this wierd happening/art piece.
A swim at Devil’s Point with Sharon and a fish and lentil fairly bougie healthy dinner *****
Frederiksberg, Kammasvej. Got through my nightshift, which started pretty heavy with a patient getting an anxiety attack. But both me and my patient made it through the night. Sleeped and started decorating this empty room in our apartment.
Jeremy Deller (artist) had an event at the Plymouth lido which I’d managed to get tickets for. A band, djs, synchronized swimmers, strong people….afterwards me and my new Cornish friend went to see my studio and then played pool. A good day. *****
Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen. Hard to get up for an early dayshift this saturday after the Roskilde Festival experince. Leaving the hospital after my dayshift took time looking at this sculpture and having a little moment reflecting on life. The nightshift nurse had called in sick and I couldnt get any one to cover, so my shift ended at 15.30, then went home to relax and eat dinner and the back at the hospital for the Night Shift at 23.00 till 7.00 in the morning.
Finally got round to taking photographs of things I want to sell *****
Roskilde Festival. The Long journey home early Friday morning; 45 minutes brisk walk to the station, then getting a train, crowded with tired or drunk festival people, back to Copenhagen.
Another is it a date / is it not a date….a lovely walk and a couple of pints in the sunshine. It wasn’t a date but it was very pleasant!…*****
Roskilde Festival. Hanging out with my favourite brother Henrik a whole day at Roskilde, happy days and quite an achievement not getting lost (for very long) from each other.
I’ve walked past these pools so many times but today I swam for an hour. They are outside, by the sea, salt water, with good music playing and they are free. My new favourite place *****
Roskilde Festival. Made it to Roskilde and met up with Christina.
Proper coffee with heated oat milk delivered to my bed with carrot cake, chilled chats over breakfast, dancing, laughing, gentle pack up…a very lovely Sunday of Glastonbury 2025*****
Viborg, Jylland. Visiting Peters mom at the hospital, slowly recovering from a very severe pneumonia.
A free party in Batcombe near Glastonbury. Drove past the entrances to Glastonbury festival and camped at a cricket club and had a perfect fun night of psy-trance. So many friendly people, laughter, chats and dancing. Even people from Glastonbury festival had left to come to it. It redeemed my Glastonbury 2025! *****
Hjerk, Jylland. Peters parents owned a Big plot of land (10 hectors) and they planted a lot of trees throughout living here and his dad also planted big fields of flowers the last couple years of his life. The flowers and trees are still here.
A little moment to lie down and appreciate the light*****
Evening Aikido training at Seidokan Japan center with my Dojo; Copenhagen Aiki Shuren Dojo. After training we had a beer and some delicious homemade umeshu while waiting for the rain to stop, but it kept pouring so eventually we had to brave it and go outside.
