WEDNESDAY 22 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 326 DAYS

I booked tickets a while ago to a lecture in a theatre I hadn’t heard of before. This week for one week’s random work I was sent to work in the same university the theatre was situated. Literally about 2 minutes walk from where I was working. I could work late and go directly to the lecture on Carl Jung. Me? Surprised? Nope! Synchronicities 🥰 ****

Back in Switzerland at Lake Geneva for a Nurse Coordinator’ course.
Really intense and with lots of great thoughts and ideas to work on at home.
No time to chill or go for hike, so only time to enjoy the view of the mountains from a distance.

MONDAY 20 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 324 DAYS

Working for an employment agency…this week’s view of my temporary employment…Marjon University Cafe from the soft seats….*****

So this Monday at work, I was assigned to go and help at another ward in the hospital than my regular ward.
Normally I work at a heart valve unit, but today I was standing in at the ischeamic heart unit, because all the regulars were at a team building day.
The view from the 14.th floor.

SATURDAY 18 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 322 DAYS

I packed up my van and drove to Bideford to look at a bigger van for sale. It was exactly the type I wanted so thought it would be good to see it and test drive it. Afterwards I planned to meet up with a friend camping in Cornwall. But I loved the van so much I decided to buy it. Then drove home as I needed to come back the next day to pick it up. Exhausted from the (very pretty) driving to north Devon and back plus the adrenaline of buying a vehicle! *****

Lovely hike at Melby Overdrev
(overdrive/ overdrev means exaggerated/(he/she) exaggerated, but can also mean; dry meadow).
Anyhow great weather, sunny and crisp.

FRIDAY 17 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 321 DAYS

A morning swim in the sea, a walk round Royal William Yard, a walk along the beautiful autumnal river in Ivybridge with a friend and a little friendly chat in the pet shop. *****

Busy day, busy week, so nice to go to the summerhouse. Homemade cauliflower and leak soup with parsley and capers salsa verde, yummy. Lovely autumn meal to enjoy in our little summerhouse. 🥰

WEDNESDAY 15 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 319 DAYS

My new minirig speaker arrived. It is soo good. Brilliant to have music and podcasts filling the house again…and it matches my sweet peas 🥰 *****

Arrived home late the day before, so really hard to get up and be at work at 7 o’clock in the morning. A little bit lazy and tired at work, but had a great massage at lovely little place after work.

TUESDAY 14 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 318 DAYS

Walking, mushrooms popping up everywhere.  Made my friend Jo’s spicy chickpea recipe for the first time. So many spices and just ridiculously tasty. Definitely going to become part of my repertoire in the kitchen 🥰 *****

Another sunny autumn day in Jylland. Went for a little walk around town with Gunhild, looking at the halloween decorations all over the town.

MONDAY 13 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 317 DAYS

Painted more of the mural at the yoga studio..then had a dental appointment. Funny walking in as the smell immediately reminds me of my father who was a dental surgeon. Afterwards a lovely dinner in an Ivybridge pub with the dental nurse…my friend Pippa *****

Visiting Gunhild at Durup Plejecenter (nursing home) to celebrate her 78 years birthday. A good day with lots of guests during the day.
Gunhild made coffee and ate 2 pieces of each cake, so great times.

SUNDAY 12 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 316 DAYS

The red flags were out at Whitsands (an army shooting range) so my friend Pippa and I walked the other way along a coastal path and down to a deserted beach for a gorgeous sunny dip and a mini picnic in the sun *****

A little trip to Jylland. Staying at Sallingsund Færgekro right next to and with a great view of Sallingsund broen.
Normally a bit windy here, but today completely still ‘blikstille’ ( when the water is completely still and with no waves or ripples) and lovely sunlight.

SATURDAY 11 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 315 DAYS

A nourishing evening organised by my friend Amy for goddesses in the Dome at the Markethall in Devonport with hot chocolate, meditation, movement and sound baths. The visuals on the dome were amazing

Lovely day off, chilling and then in the evening dinner with Christina and then went to an Offspring concert with 2 of her friends, a really American show but had a great time singing and dancing and headbanging.

TUESDAY 7 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 311 DAYS

Started the day locking myself out of the van in my PJ’s with Otto, phone and keys in the van….stayed cool and warm as luckily had put my coat on. Hung out with my new buddy old man Yorkshireman Karl until the AA arrived. Luckily 2 days ago I’d renewed my membership! Coffee in some woods as I drove back to Devon. A visit in Widdecombe with Kate and a massage with magic Sam on the way home..a good day after a slightly bumpy start.*****

Really long and busy day at work. Luckily invited for dinner at Tage’s. He made a delicious stew, and since my bike has been stolen, he had a retro vintage bike I can buy for a cheap price.

MONDAY 6 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 310 DAYS

A morning of birds by the Wetlands at Kidwelly. A drive to the hills of Brecon Beacons via this waterfall. A walk, a visit to Brecon, a search for a wild camping spot ending up in a car park overlooking a field and a hill in Abergavenny with a full moon visible from my bed 🌕 *****

Back at work at Rigshospitalet. The view from my office windows.
After work the monthly 7k run with my friend and former colleague Camilla.
The weather looked menacing but kept dry.

SUNDAY 5 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 309 DAYS

Went to see a van in South Wales then managed to meet Ruth my friend since we were 7, for an hour or so’s walk and catch up…..a visit to Dylan Thomas’ birthplace and a tip off for a wild camping spot at Kidwelly Quay. *****

A really wet and rainy weekend. Enjoyed being in the summerhouse until we found out that the leak in the roof is a serious leak and really has to be fixed ASAP.
Still enjoyed the dramatic beauty of clouds heavy with rain and gusts of wind stirring the ocean.
