TUESDAY 11 NOVEMBER 2025: NINE YEARS 346 DAYS

Driving home and picking Otto from the sheep farm…happy pup and a very rainy dark night in Plymouth. No photographic evidence.****

Fun fact: 11/11 pronounced ‘ælte i ælte’ in Danish is also called the Bakers Birthday. Ælte meaning kneading (bread).
Went for a run in Søndermarken before my evening shift at the hospital and met this cute looking fella.

SATURDAY 8 NOVEMBER 2025: NINE YEARS 343 DAYS

Clothes shopping in Peckham (vintage shop sale)…pickle festival in Deptford with Jessie and her gang, leaving just before the pickle tasting to go up to Islington to celebrate Ken Claridge’s 80th at the Drapers Arms in Barnsbury Street. Then a funny tube ride south with Jo, Paul etc. then back to Brixton to meet back up with Jessie’s crew for more fun. Good times 🥰 *****

Doing some gardening at the summerhouse; opstammede træer ( not sure about the translation, maybe to stem a tree ?), cutting of big trunks/branches.

FRIDAY 7 NOVEMBER 2025: NINE YEARS 342 DAYS

A beautiful graveyard near Peckham Rye with Jessie’s favourite oak tree. Hidden notes in the tree and beautiful leaves on the ground. I had an exam at the Danish Embassy and got top marks for my Danish. I made the ladies laugh in Danish which I thought was a result! Yummy Jamaican dinner in a pub in Peckham to celebrate *****

Another interesting day at Leeds hospital with great colleagues from Århus and Odense.
It was really interesting to follow the patient pathway in Leeds and great fun to hang out with these guys.

WEDNESDAY 5 NOVEMBER 2025: NINE YEARS 340 DAYS

All the streets closed and huge processions through the town with an incredible amount of locals involved. Costumes, storylines, evil characters to be burned, and full moon…ending with throwing burning spears at dressed up clergy men, and fireworks and then more fireworks. *****

Work and then home and pack for a super short trip to Leeds.

TUESDAY 4 NOVEMBER 2025: NINE YEARS 339 DAYS

Drove my van for its first roadtrip to Lewes. Checking coolant levels along the way (all good) and getting fairy lights for the back 🥰. Lewes goes off on the 4th and 5th of November. Bangers at various pubs across the village. SO loud and such a historical feeling. We walked to all the pubs involved experiencing the mayhem which went in for hours.****

Great to be back in the Dojo. Still remember how to fold my hakama, my black trouser skirt, we wear over the Gi.

MONDAY 3 NOVEMBER 2025: NINE YEARS 338 DAYS

I know now when my backdoor leak is coming from. I went to check all levels of my new van today. Luckily, as discovered my coolent levels were low. Step by step….*****

Work and then boxing training at the hospital gym.
Great fun and great work out. Also managed to sign up for a free massage next week.
If you are member of the gym, you can have a half hour free of charge massage, but you have to be quick.

SUNDAY 2 NOVEMBER 2025: NINE YEARS 337 DAYS

New price for my old van. New ads. Showing people it. Answering questions. A walk down a new-to-me public footpath to some beautiful autumn woods near Plympton. Another guy looking and then buying my old blue van 🤸🏼 Drove it to Torpoint. He gave me lift home. Complete. *****

After a day at work on a Sunday, so lovely to come home to a Sunday roast.

FRIDAY 31 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 335 DAYS

A lovely day with Lucie in Totnes. Walked Otto through the woods, went to the market, bought mushroom tincture and all the goodness to make my fiery witches remedy for illness in winter. Beer, pizza at Roam and tarot by the fireside with a white 🥐 russian. A perfect day. ****

Halloween at the hospital.

The research unit at my hospital, had the time to decorate and make a spooky labyrinth in a conference room. It was very scary and fun.

THURSDAY 30 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 334 DAYS

Spent the day cleaning and making my guest room lovely again. Because I can. And because my friend Lucie is arriving 🥰

A beautiful and dramatic sky when bicycling home from work yesterday.
Reflected in some way my day at work.
Had a splitting headache all day and a fresh nurse student following me all day and a patient that wasnt well.
Still got through the day with a good feeling and lots of learning for the nurse student.

WEDNESDAY 29 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 333 DAYS

My dentist’s dental surgery. Rather an interesting building. ****

Work and then went to a class of back and shoulder exercises at the hospital gym.
The coach of the class is really great and a very holistically minded coach and he focuses a lot on breathing.
Noticed this bruise on my arm, while changing. A little ‘klemmelus’ (=pinch louse) a bruise from pinching.  A little reminder of yesterday’s Aikido techniques.

TUESDAY 28 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 332 DAYS

I was craving a fry up and found an amazing butchers on the way home from Cornwall. By the end of the day my house mate had moved out. My home back 🥰 *****

Having the day off. Went to the hairdresser in the morning, then a chill day and Aikido in the evening.
This is a picture of my current bathroom (toilet and shower) since we are having plumbing done in all of my buliding which was build in 1897.

SUNDAY 26 OCTOBER 2025: NINE YEARS 330 DAYS

Delivered my mantle piece, walked around the Cheesering, met friends for a walk on Bodmin then ended at a gig (The Oss) at Altarnun’s The Rising Sun 🥳 My first night sleeping in my new van. It was soooooo windy but the electric blanket was bliss 🥰 *****

Another morning getting up early to go to work. Catching this pack of crows messing around at Sankt Hans Torv in Nørrebro on the way to the hospital.

The Quad Theatre where I attended the Carl Jung lecture last night. The view from my working area****

In the airport waiting for the plane home to Copenhagen, after a really great and fruitful course about Managing Patient Pathways efficiently and safely. With my favourite colleague Barbara, always a good time traveling and working with her.
She has so many wild stories from real life, that she should write books.
