Kasar Devi. Where Bob Dylan, Cat Stephens, Allen Ginsberg came to be. One of the best rooms with a view I’ve ever had 🥰🙏

Enough was enough. Got myself out of bed and walked 9 ks up to see 180 degrees of Himalayas. A great journey with my guide, Santosh. Back down the 9ks and then packed my bags and moved to Kasar Devi, a place of resounding beauty visited by Bob Dylan, Allen Ginsberg, Cat Stevens etc back in the day. So happy to be feeling positive again and to laugh. Not 100% well but mentally back and inspired by life again.

A day in bed, Binsar. Gutted to be ill but glad to be in a place like this. Frustrating.

Binsar…. Himalayas at sunrise. Leopard scratches. Resting at Joshi Cottage.

From Almora to Binsar…..bus, taxi, trek….to a little ridge of remote beauty in the foothills of the Himalayas

A beautiful day in Almora, India

A soul zinging day in Almora. A very special place.

Leaving Delhi. Despite feeling weak my desire to leave Delhi was strong. Up at 4.45am, tuktuk at 5.15 and train from New Delhi Railway Station to Kathgodam. It was to take 5 hours but it took over 7….A wise decision to take a taxi on the hair bin bended road up to Almora allowed this recouperating woman to sit back. We arrived to rain and cold, had veg noodle soup and went to bed. Hooray for leaving Delhi far far behind.

A night of vomit.
A day of diarrhoea.
The unexpected extra Day of Delhi.

Delhi for a Day.
Jantar Mantar, Connaught Place
The Red Fort, Old Delhi

Tuktuk to the airport. Plane from Mangalore to Mumbai, Mumbai to Delhi. Metro to New Delhi Railway Station. Tuktuk to the hotel.
Walking the intense tangle of ancient alleys of Delhi.

Kadri Park, Mangalore and a wander…followed by a new room near the airport.

From the cave within the Shiva at Murdeshwar to Mangalore and a super fancy suite in The Sea View with an infinity pool 😉

Another day in Murdeshwar with a lot of time chilling in the lovely clean room with two views. And then had a hair cut.

Murdeshwar, Karnataka

Relaxing on Kudle Beach. A massage and a raised restaurant sunset.

Yellapur via Ankola bus station to Gokarna. Checked all the places to stay on Om Beach but wasn’t impressed so moved to Kudle Beach and trekked all along checking all the places again. Felt like training. Found a basic room but with a balcony with a view. Very sweaty by the end but satisfied.

A totally relaxing day of a morning walk, yoga, chilling, reading and strolling the backstreets before dinner. Feeling rested and ready for the bus tomorrow.
