I wrapped all the legs and parts of all these spiders (and a few more) so they would travel safely. It was fiddly and time consuming but I kept my head down and kept going!*****
On my own at the office and a lot of loose ends to handle. Got through the work just as the sun was setting over Copenhagen.

Working dismantling the Harry Potter experience in Riyadh. I love coming outside when the sun is setting…the light is beautiful. I’m so happy to be back. Achievement of the year so far…*****
Achievement; eating this mountain of delicious pasta.
Was invited to pasta and a movie at Tage’s place.
Pasta was scrumptious and the movie, Love Lies Bleeding, wild.

After work took the brand new metro system around Riyadh to experience it. Traveled ‘first’ class, ‘single’ class and ‘family’ class. Most stations were the same but this one at the financial district was stunning. *****
A full day of training the 31 kata kumi jo.
A really advanced technique with jo.
Great practice and managed to get through the whole 31.
Also training in the really nice Bordings Friskole near the lakes in Copenhagen.

Flying on a broomstick in Saudi *****
Managed to coordinate schedules and meet up with 2 school friends for a lovely dinner in the middle of Copenhagen.
Had a really good espresso and a little set of petit fours served on very sweet musselmalet, Royal Copenhagen porcelain.

So proud to see the spider’s web I made hanging at the Harry Potter immersive world in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia *****
Always missing the mountains in Denmark, but found some in the foyer at my work.

Saw sunset above the clouds on the way to Saudi Arabia *****
Riget, known from the TV-Series The Kingdom by Lars Von Trier, a real place that exits with all its quirks. Arriving early in the morning from a new road and a new perspective.

Packed up, went to see my friend Camilla for a lovely walk and coffee proper catch up. Then dropped Otto off at the sheep farm where he stays, drove to my parents house where I grew up…and was happy to see this familiar view. ****”
Coming home from work bicycling up this road and today the sky was illuminating.

I drove out to have a massage from an amazing masseuse. I have wanted / needed one for a long time and it was exactly what I needed. I’m so pleased I did as I was so low on energy and with a slightly sore low back. She made everything better. It was bliss. *****
Long day at work, ending the day with a webinar about heart valves and made some great notes.

A lovely weekend away with my school friends. Until the next time…*****
A bit hungover from a late night drinking saké and umeshu (plum ricewine) at the Dojo nytårskur.
Still managed a walk around Carlsberg byen and Vesterbro.

Six friends from schooldays having a lovely muddy walk in Wiltshire. An achievement to get everyone together. Only one missing.*****
Special keiko (training) at the Dojo in the morning and then Nytårskur in the evening also at the Dojo.

After a crazy storm in the night which had luckily died down by morning I drove to Wiltshire via visiting my friends Mother in her nursing home, giving her the ash I had taken from Ammas, the hugging saint in India, whom she had followed most of her life. She can’t remember much anymore but I believe she remembered and felt the effect Amma has on her.*****
Moonshine

I went to several charity shops on the way home from yoga and snapped up a variety of bargains including some work trousers and a pair of gorgeous brown boots and this suede outfit which I have since taken back to save money! *****
Making delicious home made pizzas.

Made a smoothie using frozen bananas and frozen berries…mmm. Achievement finally eating some of the many bananas in my freezer! Went to the studio and painted.*****
Getting up early on my day off. Went to Aikido training and on the way home went on a small detour and passed these beautiful brygger horses.

Went to see Conclave at the cinema with my neighbour. My only real achievement of the day was eating an entire bag of popcorn on my own!*****
Long but great day at work, afterwards meeting up with colleagues from way back. All had had some tough months with loss and illness but finding comfort and positivity in each other’s company.
Home early and time for relaxing on the sofa before bed time.

Cycled to the studio even though the last time I’d been there I’d struggled getting an oil painting going again. It had dried and colours weren’t blending and I hadn’t enjoyed it. But today I made good progress and enjoyed it. I also sold some unused knobs on fb marketplace. Achievement all round! *****
Getting up at the crack of dawn to enjoy the sunrise (and go to work)

I was having a relaxed Sunday morning but then did the silly mental punishment of comparing my life to someone else’s and becoming anxious and blue…luckily I recognised this immediately, got wrapped up warmly and went strolling round the streets with Otto finding backlanes I’d never been. This always cheers me up. I later ping-ponged voice notes with good friends, went to kundalini yoga, cooked good food and the world was balanced again.*****
Home to a cheap but really luxurious and lovely dinner of fruit des mer, after yet another busy but very fruitful day at work.

Up and out. Returned pans and met for another ramble…in Kingston just across from Mothecombe. Gorgeous walk, friendly easy company, beautiful views and Otto hanging out with friends and when called, waited for me even when faced with a whole field of sheep.*****
Really busy day at work, worked hard for my money and hopefully helped to ease the hardship for some patients. (Victoria here: She will have done above and beyond for her patients and given them great comfort)

Walked, made marmalade very inefficiently, went to yoga, then after managing to track down someone with another big pan, boiled the marmalade until 11.30 at night and then decided to call it a day. Not sure what was going on but I was being inefficient at everything. I did however get it all done, not quite as set as usual but woke up the next morning to lots of marmalade and a tidy kitchen. *****
Enjoying a quiet Friday night at home after a busy day at work and busy work weekend ahead of me.

Yoga, walk, prepared everything for marmalade making*****
Back in the city from visiting my dad in the countryside.
Having an encounter with this sleek city fox on the way home from Aikido. Staring me down for a minute before going about its business.
