A day of jigsawing….and a spring like walk in the park. I didn’t know doing a jigsaw puzzle could be quite so addictive…..*****
Getting up at dawn to go to work and being rewarded with this mesmerising view.

Getting up at dawn to go to work and being rewarded with this mesmerising view.

It was pouring outside so all I did all day was my 1000 piece puzzle, walk Otto in the rain and then more puzzle until I tore myself away…and then went back to finish this hummingbird wing…*****
Making a healthy spring cabbage, blueberry, mint and lemon salad after a week of meat and pasta.

I had no plans for the weekend and therefore noone to play with. Sometimes that’s fine but the sun was out and it felt such a waste. I was sooooo booooored! But I pruned some plants in my garden, cleaned the inside of my van, chatted to a neighbour in the street, then went for a walk with Otto listening to a podcast. All was right in the world again. I then took a puzzle, I’d been given a couple of years ago, out of the cupboard. On a Saturday night….very unrock n roll…*****
Skiing and lunching with these lovely people until last minute before pick up heading to the airport. Squeezing in as much ski/board time as possible.

Cut up a bunch of scrap wood I had in my outbuilding. Using it up and saving money buying wood. By cutting it I also heated myself up so didn’t need to light the fire!*****
Getting this close to magnificent Mont Blanc is awe inspiring and humbling. Courmayer, Italy.

This is the only photograph I took this day. Otto couldn’t reach his toy so spent a lot of time looking at it like this. My achievement….not reaching it for him until he properly stepped back.*****
Finding this little cabin “Offshore” on the mountain in La Thuile.
Last time in la Thuile this was the family favourite coffee shop, since my dad is a captain and the cabin has a very nautical theme.

I’m pretty happy with my Asian cooking abilities. Fresh ingredients including lots of ginger and chilli, dimsum from an Asian supermarket and so nourishing on a cold evening. *****
Making it safely back to the hotel after a long ski day and even longer afterski. Back at the hotel just before midnight still in skiing/snowboarding boots.

A windy walk on Dartmoor with my The Muddy Boots near Hexworthy. It was cold and pretty hard going but we were warm and walked 7 miles.*****
Having a good time in the mountains with these people.

Ridiculous I know but putting my silk scarf on Otto really made me chuckle. Updated my CV and added to my portfolio*****
Going snowboarding with my brother Henrik in La Thuile.

A Muddy Boots walk near Yealmpton. Very muddy. Found this beautiful gate lock which was as lovely to handle as it was to see. I like that I can see beauty in simple things.*****
Waking up to this great view in La Thuile, Italy on my birthday. Happy I made it this far:)

A miserable day weather wise but a lovely walk at Dartmeet on Dartmoor with a man and his dog. Found this gorgeous clump of miss sheltered by vibrant red bracken. It was good to talk washboards and tap dancing *****
Finally getting our luggage in Geneva airport after over 1 hour waiting.

A blissful Valentine’s Day in bed with my favourite beast. Tea, toast, easy telly, snuggles and cosy downtime. Achievement….self loving and the fact it was perfect crappy weather outside. A couple of drinks with lovely local friends early evening, then back to cosy home sweet home 🥰*****
Venturing outside after 2 days in bed, still feeling tired, but happy to be out in the Sun.

A detour into Bristol to give a lovely old friend a big hug. A tasty refuel with lunch at the farm he volunteers at, then back on the road to pick up Otto from the sheep farm and return to home sweet home 🥰*****
Enjoying the view of snow covered city. Hit by a really nasty cold and in bed under the duvets all day.

Bliss. Relaxed game playing with my family. This is unheard of and so nourishing. I even stayed an extra night. Achievement 💪🏼✨*****

The whole Pullar Clan together. I had flown in from Saudi. Susannah had flown back from Australia and Emily had also coincidentally come down from Scotland.*****
Just the moon and clouds looking pretty above the city.

Played Scrabble with my parents and had a very pleasing day. Our family never ever play games. Yes this is an achievement! *****
Still have a fat middle finger after an unlucky fall at aikido training last Fall (;) but built up Mobility and strength to manage boxing training today, yeah.

Flew back to the UK and both my pieces of luggage came through. Traveled back to Reading on the coach and taxi from there to my parents house. Walked up and down my road chatting to a friend so as not to wake my parents too early. It’s cold back here! *****
After celebrating my Sensei receiving his 7th Dan in Aikido, which is an incredible achievement, I went on a festival of lights run 7 km through the Copenhagen harbour area. This is a picture of my running partner Camilla underneath one of the light sculptures. She has been represented in this blog some years ago; Five/59: day 15: Sunday 24 january 2021.

Me and Jonas took the brand new Riyadh metro across town and then a taxi to a big market where I found some cool clothes and a funny plastic camel that walks and plays the music from Beverly Hills Cops theme tune…of course! *****
Went out for Mexican dinner all you can eat and drink and then went to the club to go dancing with my young colleagues ( only lasted 30 minutes, but still an achievement).

Team Unify went to the desert…the ‘edge of the world’…it was a fun trip, it was like the grand canyon but in Saudi Arabia. Huge drops, extensive desert…this guy was doing such a dangerous thing and I managed to capture it. It was a very bonding day and I was in the vehicle travelling there and back with all the team I got in best with. *****
Having dinner with my friend Christina and finishing up this delicious sole.

We finished wrapping, packing and documenting every prop and tool we used for Harry Potter today. In the evening we came to Diryah, an old area of Riyadh which was like a film set. It was such a calm way to end the busy work. Achievement seeing all the locals in their beautiful local dress. This is me on the left. *****
Aikido is a great way to distract from a busy work day.
Today we practiced advanced technique; the 31 kumi jo. Great intense training with great people, and managed to keep up.

I have been swimming for an hour in the rooftop pool, on the 15th floor, before breakfast every morning, mostly on my own but some of the time with a colleague. This was a swim post work with most of the team. Another room service meal chilling in my room relaxing after a busy day. *****
Great day at work, doing some consulting work, sharing my knowledge with guests from Lisbon, Portugal. After work went to the Cinema 2 minutes away to see Blue Velvet. On the way passing the Carlsberg Elephant gate; above the gate it says; Laboremus pro patria: ”lets work for the homeland ” the Elephants represent strength and loyalty.
