EIGHT YEARS 337 DAYS / DAY ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY: FRIDAY 1 NOVEMBER 2024

Went to my studio again and painted a little, nothing fantastic. Walked home feeling a little like ‘what’s the point’. Saw the sun about to dip behind a hill which might only happen there around this time of year. Then marched myself to restorative / nidra yoga which was lovely as it was very chilled by candlelight but at the same time wasn’t what I look for in yoga…but now I’ve tried it out.

At work, then home and rest and listening to The Cure’s new album, before heading to Hjerk, Jutland a six hour drive to visit family.
The Cure still sounding fresh and relevant, which is an achievement since they had their debut in 1978, the year I was born.
Drove across Storebæltsbroen, opened in 1997, one of the world’s 5 largest hanging bridges. It was a windy, but beautiful starry night.

EIGHT YEARS 336 DAYS / DAY ONE HUNDRED AND NINETEEN: THURSDAY 31 OCTOBER 2024

I went to another new yoga class at 7am, then after breakfast walked Otto through the park to town to buy more yarn for my tufting and onto my studio where I finished a painting I’d started last year. My studio mates also came in and it was lovely reuniting with them as we hadn’t seen each other for a long time. I enjoyed the walk home seeing this beautiful carving, one of a whole series along a church.

Busy day at work and feeling extremely tired when I came home. Still went to the Dojo and practiced Aikido and had a great time.
Managed to move a mountain; one of my training partners is 2 meters tall and +100kg, still managed to (un)balance him for a second and then tumble him over, in a technique called koshi nage.
